*THIS IS A LEGAL, BINDING CONTRACT
Although no breeder can truly “guarantee” that a dog will be free from hereditary disorders, we DO guarantee that we have researched pedigrees and health clearances to the best of our abilities, and we can guarantee that we breed only healthy and sound dogs.
Willow Creek Kennels uses only sound breeding stock to lessen the occurrence of defects considered to be hereditary. While we cannot "guarantee" that your dog will be free of genetic defects, we do guarantee that both parents were reported to be free of hip dysplasia and hereditary eye diseases at the time of the breeding.
We require that you monitor your puppy (dog) to make sure it receives proper exercise. Over or under exercising your puppy can negatively impact its health. Do not allow jumping on and off of furniture or stairs. Also, keep the puppy off of slippery or damp flooring. Your puppy will benefit from regular walks and from play sessions in your yard.
Eye Problems can be hereditary, congenital or an acquired condition resulting from a virus or accident. Some eye abnormalities have little or no effect on the dog's vision while others can cause blindness.
Willow Creek English Cockers are registered with the American Kennel Club. Our companion puppies are sold with AKC limited registration (non-breeding). If the dog is registered with AKC the dogs name MUST start end in “of Willow Creek”. If this is not done the health guarantee is void. When the puppies go to their new homes their vaccinations and worming schedules are up to date and they have been micro chipped for identification.
We suggest (not require) that the puppy buyer take the new puppy to their own veterinarian within 7 days to be examined. If, FOR ANY REASON, the veterinarian is not happy with the puppy, we will replace the puppy or refund the purchase price upon the return of the puppy.
If your puppy / dog is diagnosed with debilitating / hereditary hip or an eye disease that will affect the dogs’ quality of life, before the age of 28 months, and proof is provided for review by our veterinarian/s, you have the option of returning the pup/dog for a replacement puppy or refund of your full purchase price. Shipping / transport / veterinary costs will not be reimbursed. **OR** A second option would be to have 1/2 of the purchase price refunded, and the puppy/dog can then remain with you for the balance of his/her lifetime. Debilitating hip dysplasia, for our purposes, shall be defined as, moderate to severe hip dysplasia. Debilitating eye disease would include hereditary diagnosis that will impair vision to the extent that it will prevent the dog from hunting or living a normal family life.
As a condition of our guarantee, we require that you inform us of the diagnosis within 10 days of the findings. You further agree to forward test results to allow us / our veterinarian(s) a chance to review the x-rays or other diagnostic tests prior to your puppy /dog having corrective surgery or other major treatments or major decisions are made regarding the care of puppy / dog as a result of this information. We reserve this right to seek a second opinion in order to be certain that the elected treatment is in the best interest of the puppy. Failure to comply with this will void this guarantee.
If at any time in the puppies life you are unable to keep him or her, you agree to contact us, (we have the 1st right of refusal) so we can assist you in finding a new home. We always want to know where our puppies / dogs are throughout their lifetimes.
By signing below you are acknowledging that you have read this document in it’s entirety and agree to the terms of this contract, including agreeing to spay or neuter the pup prior to him or her being bred / producing puppies.
